Examples of economic or environmental interests: Tourism industry, agricultural workers, mining town, manufacturing center, polluted natural resource, unemployment problem, etc.

Your response: The Ashland community is split by a train track and I-95. We are concerned about environmental and economic impacts of widening the railway within Ashland and sprawl. There are a vast number of vacant buildings in developed areas yet, woods are being destroyed to continue to develop outward.

Your response: Although we are part of Hanover County and their public schools, Ashland residents are more urban and lean democratic. We are part of a solidly republican district that does not align with our environmental and social values and our votes seem to get lost.
