Community Information

My community is served by a public library, two public elementary schools, a couple of private schools, and a smattering of bars, restaurants and churches.

We're a demographic melting pot: whites, blacks, straight, gay, couples, parents, singles.

My community shares proximity to the James River, which provides drinking water and recreation, and is within walking distance to five beautiful parks. We are economically diverse, counting CEO's, professional people, artisans, tradesmen and day laborers among our residents.

We lack quality public schools. Richmond city schools are among the worst in Virginia. Parents are forced to send their children to private schools or to relocate to the surrounding counties where schools are markedly better.
