My Community of Interest Project is about how in my area we pay more in water/sewerage then other areas in my town and why. My area in on South Nevada Street, in Yerington Nevada, and it is in town mostly consists of older homes. William Lee homesteaded here and built from in town. The out skirts of Yerington have newer houses, these houses where built when the Anaconda Mine was active in 1918, more are being built because the active mine "Pumpkin Hollow".
We pay more in water/sewerage because the pipes in town burst due to the fact they are so old. The pipes are being replaced and we are paying for the new pipping and labor to install. I learned that after the job is done we will still be paying the same amount. My Community concern is that our bill be lowered when the job is done and also, if these new pipes are at any danger to us.
