Many small businesses, lots of activity Whittier School Cambridge Health Alliance - health needs assessment

Mostly Central American immigrant population (lots of TPS recipients) started moving to Everett 25 years ago. Some Brazilians started moving to Everett in the late 1990s and early 2000s, lots of Evangelical Christians. Many Haitians who moved to Everett after the economic crisis and natural disasters, but also from Boston gentrification from Dorchester and Mattapan. More recently increasing number of immigrants who speak Arabic (Moroccans)

Lots of traffic Very working-class city: between 15,000 and 20,000 people work in low-wage service or domestic work at the airport, in retail. City has no workforce development.

Youth population is exploding. Need another middle school (or even two).
