Community Information

transportation housing healthcare mental health gun control

People in my community gather in different locations. At family and friend's houses, at public parks, beaches, etc. We shop at places like Walmart and Price Rite. We access healthcare at Health First and Charlton Memorial or Saint Anne's Hospital

The black community is growing significantly in Fall River. We are spread all over the city, mostly in the center and south end of the city. We only have one black church in the city, Bethel AME church and only a few of us attend the church services

Most of our community is employed in different sectors of the city but a good majority is unemployed. Some of us work at Walmart and Amazon. Some in small local businesses

Our city officials do not represent our community. For the first time in the last local elections we had a black city council be elected. For the first time. We need our city to represent who we are, the diversity that exists in Fall River
