My community has a community park, center and civic center. Several churches, schools, library, doctors and dental offices, immediate care facility, small businesses and a post office. We have a restaurants, Walmart, grocery stores and shopping areas. There are fitness businesses. Music in May, Anthem Days and Independence Day Celebrations. Fire stations are in the area. There is a Theater in Norterra, south.
We have The Pioneer Village Museum. A National Veterans Monument in our park. The area is relatively new with many housing divisions which encourages young families to move in. We have a large retirement group, too. Our community is mostly white with a pocket of African American, Asian, Eastern European and Latino people. Senior care homes and Assisted living facilities are available.
We have many people who work out of their homes for various corporations. We have small businesses, shopping area workers, hospital and health care workers, landscaping, plumbing workers, etc.. Gore Industries, USAA corporation, Cigna are in the area and a new semi conductor manufacturing facility to be build. WATER is a major concern and growing traffic up the I-17.
Currently we are lumped in the legislative district with Yavapai County which is north of us, and is more rural. The political representatives come from Prescott. We need to be represented by our community needs and people. We need to be redistricted into districts south of us.
