My community is made up of people who go to Congregation Rinat Yisrael. The synagogue provides religious services, as well as educational subsidies, religious learning for adults and children, and is the fulcrum of the local Jewish community.
My community is made up of Orthodox Jews in Teaneck. The community has been there since the 50s, and has been a sizable minority since the 80s. The Jews are White, North African, and a mix of other ethnicities. They are mostly commuters.
The community is mostly commuters to New York City, but many now work from home or work within the community. The main environmental issues are the local Hackensack River's pollution, as well as runoff from the trains.
The community needs to care more for those who are less fortunate.
