Examples of activities and services: Shopping areas, schools and universities, libraries, parks, lakes, rivers, places of worship, healthcare services, public transport, local nonprofit organizations, etc.

Your response: My community is made up of schools, library, parks, childcare centers, barbershops, laundry mat, numerous churches, organizations, and hair salons.

  - If your community has a shared history, what is it?

Examples of cultural or historical interests: Religious groups, ethnic groups, languages, age groups, immigration status, historic or arts districts, etc.

Your response: My community is made up of many historical buildings, districts, and churches that should be better respected, maintained, and supported by local government.

  - If there are environmental concerns in your community, what are they?

Examples of economic or environmental interests: Tourism industry, agricultural workers, mining town, manufacturing center, polluted natural resource, unemployment problem, etc.

Your response: My city needs to be more accountable to filter tourism revenue to support surrounding communities, respect the history and developments of existing communities instead of breaking them apart for the city’s majority population and interests, maintain an inclusive history and historical structures for all ethic groups that fosters unity and adds to the tourism, and create more resources to support the homeless population.

  - What are the needs of your community?
  - Is there anything else you want to tell us about your community?

Examples of needs or concerns: Keep community in the same district or separate into multiple districts, shared policy concerns, need for a social service, relationship to other nearby communities, issues with current district lines

Your response: My community is beside the highly invested downtown district and lacks shared value concerns for surrounding & impacted African-American communities. My community is in need of greater social services resources, needs a transit system, needs more resources to deter violence, and greater support from law enforcement.
