My community is part of the City of North Salt Lake but we are separated by a large industrial area that spans between the 1-15 freeway and Redwood Road from the rest of the city proper. We have a very popular community park with access to the Legacy Parkway. There are a mix of single-family homes, condos, and apartments in the community, as well as numerous elementary schools. We're on a bus route but otherwise have to rely on cars to get into the city, or ride a bike to the closest Frontrunner station in Woods Cross.

The Legacy Parkway (aka Jordan River Parkway), Legacy Nature Preserve, and greater Salt Lake wetlands area are immediately adjacent to our neighborhood, so conservation of the natural environment, and limiting damage and disruption from industrial sources and heavy transportation, is extremely important. Lifting the truck ban along the Legacy freeway was intensely unpopular here. The commercial and industrial interests around our community often drown out the voices of the people who actually live here.

We're right on the cusp of Salt Lake County and Davis County, and often feel like an isolated oasis because we're on the "wrong side of the tracks" amidst a lot of industrial polluters and eyesores. We want to be a safe, eco-conscious neighborhood that doesn't get paved over (literally in some cases) by industrial forces with deeper pockets.
