Your response: People in my community tend to socialize on Main Street and gather at St Patrick's Church during holidays. Most members of my community own cars, utilize Urgent Care and RBK Pediatrics for Health Related issues, and students attend Bay Shore High School and the other schools within the Bay Shore school district.

Examples of cultural or historical interests: Religious groups, ethnic groups, languages, age groups, immigration status, historic or arts districts, etc.

Your response: Central Brightwaters is a predominately white and catholic community. The neighboring community of Bay Shore is primarily Latinx, but it also involves Black and Asian community members as well.

  - If there are environmental concerns in your community, what are they?

Examples of economic or environmental interests: Tourism industry, agricultural workers, mining town, manufacturing center, polluted natural resource, unemployment problem, etc.

Your response: Most members of the Central Brightwaters community work within the Bay Shore School District, or are retired. Other members of the community are attorneys and work within the legal field, as well as the Suffolk County Police Department.

Examples of needs or concerns: Keep community in the same district or separate into multiple districts, shared policy concerns, need for a social service, relationship to other nearby communities, issues with current district lines

Your response: Most members of the Central Brightwaters community are fairly conservative, and find their concerns to be within the education system present in Bay Shore. Crime is fairly low, at a 8.48 per 1,000 residents rate.
