My smaller community is a portion of Murray that was annexed from unincorporated county a decade or so ago. It has a somewhat different set of municipal services than the main portion of Murray. From a bit wider perspective, there is a portion of Murray that is currently in HD 46--a district that is primarily comprised of Cottonwood Heights. Our needs are more aligned with Murray and Midvale. From an even wider perspective, Salt Lake County is the major metropolitan county in the state and has unique needs. It should not be split up.
The smaller area is a suburban area.
Salt Lake County is currently split into 3 congressional districts. The bulk of my HD is comprised of Cottonwood Heights, but I live in an 'appendage' that is Murray and which thus would be better served if it were kept with Murray and Midvale--the portions west of the VanWinkle and north of I-215.
