Community Information

One Island w/ six towns and different policies impacts health, policing, etc Steamship Authority connects the island to urban areas on the Cape (Falmouth) Non-profits cover Cape and Islands but service don't always cover both Regional Hospital services entire island and works with Steamship Authority (Falmouth) All boards that provide services are almost exclusively run by white people. This map includes the lower portion of Falmouth, so the water around Cape Cod had to be selected to make the area contiguous.

The island is Native American territory (two indigenous tribes - , Wampanoag tribe in Aquinnah & Wampanoag tribe in Chappaquiddick), there is indigenous housing in Aquinnah, Significant historical Black and immigrant populations Methodist Society Campground Meeting Association (historic district) Ink Well (previously segregated portion of the island) Languages - Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, French Predominately retiree population High immigrant population (seasonal workers as well as year round residents), multiple generations of undocumented immigrants in need of protection and services.
