Community Information

diversity Latinx

My community encompasses Hasbrouck Heights, Bergen, Passaic, Hawthorn, Glenrock, Paramus, and Oradell. They are all roughly located in the 38th Legislative District

I have lived in this area for my entire life and, as I have grown, the area has become increasingly Latino. I remember how more students in my school would bring cultural dishes to events and request Bachata music at school dances.

I work in a pharmacy within the area and many of our customers speak Spanish. For most shifts, I help customers (in-person or over the phone) in Spanish. Frequently, customers are frustrated by the lack of services available in Spanish. We need legislators who understand our interests, the state is around 20% Latino yet only about 10% of legislators are Latino. My COI should be kept together.
