Our community gathers at Liberty Park for diverse activities, recreation and exercise. Many of us our employed by the University of Utah and Westminster College. We also gather and bars and restaurants as well as museums and arts/cultural organizations. Street fairs are important.
Historical architecture is important to our community. We are known for our diverse populations and a historical / cultural district at 9th and 9th.
Air quality is a big issues, as is high-density traffic, especially along Foothill and 700 E. Bicycle safety lanes and walking lanes in our area are critical to recreation and commuting.
We need progressive bold action to meet the needs of homeless population and high rents.
