Given the nature of the "Hamptons," many people find that their socioeconomic status influences circles of association and in turn, religious and ethnic groups. Also, immigration status.

Many residents are employed by the tourism industry or agricultural day laborers who support the need for landscaping. Environmental concerns are due to the expansion of luxury golf courses and other recreational areas and the strain that it puts on the power infrastructure. Significantly also is the population increase that has happened post-pandemic. Some numbers claim that the population increase has increased by 20% in the past few years.
