Community Information

transportation housing diversity education environment

My community is made up of people who enjoy the Park City mountains and choose to live nearby. We have our Park City schools in common, our Park City and Summit county library in common. The Basin Recreation organization and Mountain Trails Foundation, organize trails and outdoor activities for us and our kids. We use the 5-10 parks in the Park City area (from Quinns Junction, to Matt Knosp/Willow Creek, to City Park). The Park City Community Foundation represents us in the non-profit space. Our hospital is the Park City Medical Center. We stretch from Deer Valley to Summit Park and all of Snyderville Basin. In terms of extended community, we extend towards Heber and Kamas.

The LatinX community is an important and large part of Park City. Also, our shared history is in mining and in outdoor activities and ultimately now resort community.

Skiing and the tourist community is a huge part of this town, but also hiking, biking, fishing the Provo, boating the Jordanelle. The biggest environmental issues we face are all centered around Global warming. I am personally very considered about water issues and air issues. Our community is expanding rapidly and we don’t have the right infrastructure to support in an environmentally friendly way.
