Community Information

climate renewable resources environment recreation affordable

My community is comprised mostly of graduate students at Binghamton University; they are the majority of the people that I interact with, both on campus and off campus. We tend to gather in downtown areas for socialization, like breweries, small restaurants, etc. Many of us use university provided health and transportation services (buses, for example, to and from different parts of Binghamton).

My community, as I defined it above, are mostly students. We are all very stressed and very broke, but we're also busy learning about issues affecting the Binghamton community (environmentally, economically, socially, etc)

My community depends on accessible services, such as affordable housing (off campus housing) etc. We're civically minded as a graduate program (MPA and MS/MA in Sustainability), so incorporating dimensions of equity into the expansion of social services is very important.
