My community is the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. The Preserves are a community where people choose to live to be close to areas in which they can hike, bike, ride horses and learn about the desert flora and fauna. People choose specifically to live there because they want to live where they can look outside their windows and see the splendor of their mountains. Their HOAs, in many instances, are geared to deal with specific issues related to the preserve areas. My community of interest as a Jewish voter is well-represented by smaller, conservative synogogues south of the mountain preserve, and larger synogues like Temple Beth Israel, Temple Chi, etc., north of the preserves.
