My community members are those of the working class. And most of them have small children.
Culturally, this main street in my community is an example of all the streets and boulevards across America that are named after Martin Luther King, Jr. From observation, I feel it is hard to find one of them that he would be proud of bearing his name. While this area is home to many, it is in great need of much attention, which is being ignored by the leaders of this city.
It is very hard to find jobs within this city, resulting in people being forced to drive great distances in order to seek gainful employment. We are in need of jobs, and they should be jobs that pay a decent salary for the work performed. For years this city has had a depressed economy, as evidenced by all the vacant storefronts along Main Street.
My community needs a cleanup and rehabilitation. We also need to receive fair treatment in Redistricting.
