My community is located near the Verrazano Bridge that has seen steep hikes in its toll fees. Our concern is that high toll fees make access to Staten Island more expensive to the average commuter, especially if not resident of Staten Island, which in turn adversely affects the economic and commercial situation of the Staten Islanders. The Verrazano Bridge is the only bridge NYC that has no bike/pedestrian lanes.
