Your response: Much of Chelsea and this region share Latin American culture and history. Shared language and immigration status.

Your response: Much of Chelsea and this region use social services such as food distribution, immigration support, emergency housing support, housing case management, and workforce development services.

Examples of economic or environmental interests: Tourism industry, agricultural workers, mining town, manufacturing center, polluted natural resource, unemployment problem, etc.

Your response: Much of Chelsea and this region have a high percentage of residents that work in the food service and hospitality industries. Many part-time and seasonal employees. Generally low-income community. Many are forced to sublease because they cannot afford rent in now-gentrified neighborhoods.

Examples of needs or concerns: Keep community in the same district or separate into multiple districts, shared policy concerns, need for a social service, relationship to other nearby communities, issues with current district lines

Your response: The community is united by its need for affordable housing, rent control, increased social services, and increased funding for public infrastructure and education. Community was particularly impacted by community spread of COVID-19.
