My community is Utah County, and we don't regularly venture outside of Utah County very often.
This community is primarily made up of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. White is the predominant race, and the shared history is of the Mormon pioneers in the 1800s.
Utah County is geographically and economically contained. The mountains around us give us a natural boundary which is only crossed whenever there's a want, not a need.
Utah County is a fast-growing community and needs unified leadership and representation. The needs of Utah County are different from an established county like Salt Lake County, and are different from a rural county like Juab County. Both of these counties are neighbors to Utah County, but both have different problems and need different solutions that what Utah County is dealing with. The main issue with our current district lines is the west side of Utah County is being grouped with the west side of Salt Lake County. You're grouping rural, developing, and new communities in Utah County with established, high-density communities up in Salt Lake County. Representatives should be specialized.
