My neighborhood is significantly defined by 1) Baker Historic District 2) the major roads that define the neighborhood (which is actually not exactly the same as the historic district: Alameda (S) 6th Ave (N) Santa Fe (West) and Broadway (East).

Our community has gentrified so much in the past 10 years that many folks have either had to or chosen to leave, which has disrupted social and cultural ties in the community. Attention to decisions that support continuation of strong community ties should be a priority. Housing is relatively dense in most of our community, but we need more affordable options for people at all income levels and family sizes.
