  - Where do people in your community gather or socialize?
  - How and where does your community access services (healthcare, transportation, educational services, etc.)?

Examples of activities and services: Shopping areas, schools and universities, libraries, parks, lakes, rivers, places of worship, healthcare services, public transport, local nonprofit organizations, etc.

Your response: My community is joined together by the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and central Phoenix canal. This area includes all sides of the Mountains including the areas of North Mountain, Piestewa Peak, Shaw Butte, and Camelback Mountain. The area also includes parts of the Grand Canal and Arizona Canal. The Mountain Preserve areas and the canals are used by walkers, runners, and bikers who use the areas for recreation. It also includes people who live in the area partly because they love to view and be near the Mountain Preserve areas when they are home and in their neighborhood. My community includes neighborhoods including Biltmore, Arcadia, North Mountain, Sunnyslope, Paradise Valley, and much more

Examples of economic or environmental interests: Tourism industry, agricultural workers, mining town, manufacturing center, polluted natural resource, unemployment problem, etc.

Your response: It was beneficial to have the area in the same legislative district so that our elected representatives could aid protecting our Mountain Preserves. I mention 2 examples of this. 1) Recently the City of Phoenix has been working on a huge water pipe project that was initially slated to go thru a more pristine trail access and trail of the Mountain Preserve near Piestewa Peak. The surrounding neighborhood, the regular users of the area trails and people who value all the Mountain Preserves were able to raise up together to protect the Mountain Preserve and convince the City of Phoenix to reroute the water pipe project and not disturb the more pristine area of the Mountain Preserve. 2) In anoth

Examples of needs or concerns: Keep community in the same district or separate into multiple districts, shared policy concerns, need for a social service, relationship to other nearby communities, issues with current district lines

Your response: Many of us including me live in the area because we enjoy living close to all the Mountain Preserves in the areas and not only using one trail, but all of them. The Mountain Preserves should be a collective group, and not be divided up into separate districts.
