This town is very white and Christian/catholic. I believe the bonds come from participation in religious institutions Vernon gets its identity from being a glacier valley and having many hiking trails and snow resorts. The town was founded for its “pristine” beauty and wildlife.

- The only employment are services, so for people that work in-town, this would be fast food, retail, grocery and convenience stores. We also have 5 schools so there is a substantial number of educators. However, Vernon is mostly a commuter town- Vernon has many brownfield sites and abandoned parks that have not received attention or cleanup

There are several boroughs within Vernon, and their boundaries often overlap with little consideration for the economic aspects of budgets. For example, two boroughs are separated by a single road, and lumped together in budget estimations, which results in both boroughs receiving insufficient funds.- Road work. There are many, dangerous, roads in Vernon because it is a high-altitude town and gets a lot of snow. The driving conditions, especially in winter, are treacherous and often lead to many accidents and vehicle breakdowns.
