Many religious centers serve the Arab community in Paterson and other areas.

There is a strong Arab American community in Dumont, Bergenfield, Fairlawn, Paramus, Hackensack, Teaneck, Bogota, Garfield, Emerald Park, Hasbrouck Heights. But they are often grouped with otherwise predominantly white communities which contributes to a lack of representation.

The South Patterson Arab community leads economic development for all of Paterson. Many Arab NJerseyans visit Patterson every weekend.

Health concerns, school admissions, immigration concerns, etc. are subsumed by the White Census category identification. There needs to be more careful attention to Arab, North African, and Middle Eastern communities.Arab communities should be kept together in order to have a cohesive voice in representation.
