There is definitely a church in the neighborhood where neighbors worship and live in this community. The Pitt-Greenville Airport is located in this area and when flooding occurs, and waters are high, the airport is closed. I will check to see if The Great (bus service) transports people in this area. This is an area where a lot of people need access to public transportation.
This community, Riverdale, as it was called in the past, is predominately occupied by African Americans and is located very close to the Tar River. This area is susceptible to flooding as far as First Street in Greenville which is now occupied by people of all backgrounds.
Heavy rains, the river is always cresting, and definitely during hurricanes.
