My community is made up of residents of the Oaks of Sonterra, a subdivision that has a pool, a large green space, and a community garden.
My community is made up of middle class, working families. There are families of various races, but with the predominant category being white, non-Hispanic. There are a number of veterans and their families living in our neighborhood.
Our area is part of the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone, so water is a resource that is always of consideration. Neighbors speak a lot about water use, fees associated with that, and the levels of rainfall, high or low.
We want to maintain our green space to keep it free from development.
