diversity education pets suburban outdoor activities

My community is small, but we have a library, some parks, a variety of churches/religions, health care offices, a few veterinarian clinics, a good variety of restaurants, and a few hotels. And whatever we don't have is probably a quick 20 minute drive away from us.

My community is at the entrance to 2 canyons that lead to hiking trails, campgrounds, and 4 ski resorts. Access to and stewardship of our natural areas is important. We also have a lot of dog owners, but no fenced dog parks.

We've seen an increase in traffic congestion. We need representation that appreciates our desire to preserve our natural spaces, not develop every open area. Cleaning up what we have instead of adding more is key. Existing public transportation is not ideal, with the exception of ski buses that do get people directly to their destinations. Otherwise, trying to get somewhere (i.e. Cottonwood Heights to downtown SLC) requires lots of transfers and a huge amount of time.
