My community is made up of neighbors who use Huston Lake Park, Ruby Hill Park, the Sanderson Gulch Trail, and Godsman Park.
The ethnic diversity along Federal Blvd. is a staple of my community (specifically Mexican and Vietnamese restaurants and businesses).
My community has a large number of small businesses which helps maintain the cultural identity of the area. There are a number of large industrial lots that seem ripe for development (mixed-use, additional green spaces, community amenities, etc).
The public schools in my community are lacking in updated facilities. As are the public libraries. There is a concern about affordable housing in my community as gentrification proceeds out from the city.
