my community access multiple programs such as parks provide sports for children , I myself use public transportation to take me around the city. Government center, library and MassHire provides access to information of what is available. also all is easily accessible on line.
our area is predominantly Portuguese so we get to enjoy plenty feasts, also predominantly catholic but there is a variety of small nondenominational churches to. We also have a beautiful bike/ walking path Heritage and Bicentennial parks
we are a low economic , minimum wage area, high unemployment. most have to travel a distance for decent wage or work more than one job to support family
We need better public transportation, easily accessible to other towns to find work other than New Bedford. We are trapped. We can't go any further looking for work. Our community is not flourishing like it should. My other concern is the homeless. You might as well say we don't have a shelter because it only about 10 but we have over 300 homeless roaming our city. where are they sleeping?
